1. Do you only translate Indonesian to English, and not English to Indonesian?

We may also be able to do English into Indonesian translations. Please contact us with your request.

2. Do you translate any other languages, for example Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, French or Spanish?

We may also be able to do translations in other languages. Please contact us with your request.

3. How much will the translation, copy-editing or proofreading job cost me?

You can find detailed information about our rates and payment procedures here. Or simply contact us for a quote.

4. How do I pay for a translation, copy-editing or proofreading job?

You can find detailed information about our rates and payment procedures here.

5. How long will the translation, copy-editing or proofreading job take?

This depends on the difficulty level of the job and the amount of work/number of words involved. Generally, the smaller and easier the job, the quicker the completion time. Any job up to 5000 words should only take a maximum of 3 days. Sometimes, too, if an urgent request is made for a job to be completed in a very short time, a higher rate will be charged. Please contact us to get a more specific timeline and fee.

6. Do you only do the documents mentioned in your website?

We can copy-edit, proofread or translate from Indonesian to English any type of written text.

7. What happens if I am not satisfied with the results?

We doubt that this will be the case, but if it is we will work closely with you to find the reasons why you are not satisfied and rectify these. Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal.

8. How do you select the translators, copy-editors and proofreaders who will be working on my job?

We carefully select our translators, copy-editors and proofreaders based on the following criteria.

  • University or equivalent degree
  • Language-related education
  • Experience of life and work in Indonesia
  • Number of years as translator, copy-editor or proofreader
  • Industry-specific professional experience
  • Verifiable references
  • Sample translations

9. Why should I not just use a machine translation like Google Translate?

Machine translations are useful for getting a general idea about what a text written in a foreign language means. However, a “general idea” isn’t always exactly accurate; the translator literally translates (word for word) the text which often results in grammatically incorrect, if not completely incoherent, text.

10. How about confidentiality? How can I be sure that the contents of my documents will not be disclosed to anyone else?

We can use a non-disclosure agreement with our clients. Please see our Confidentiality section about this.

11. Which document formats do you support?

We work in all Microsoft Office file formats, such as DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX, as well as PDF. Documents created with open source software are also fine.

12. Do you do website translations or copy-editing using HTML and Coding?

No, we simply translate or edit the content of your website. We will copy all the website’s text into Microsoft Word documents and translate or edit it from there. You will need to reformat the translated or edited content when it has been returned to you.

13. Is there any other way of paying for your services besides bank transfer?

If you would prefer another method of payment, please contact us and we will try to arrange an alternative payment mechanism.
